Sam, Amanda, Jeni and I visited Washington, D.C. for the day. We took in several sights including the U.S. Supreme Court, which faces the Capitol building.

Standing in front of the U.S. Supreme Court... it towers over us.

The United States Capitol Building.

We took a capitol tour...the south side of the building.

We the people....

What a couple of nice looking guys.

Our future house....wishful thinking.

The World War II Memorial.

Made a few stops on the National Mall, including the reflecting pool and Lincoln's memorial.

The statues are part of the Vietnam Memorial Wall.

Jeni standing in front of the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
What's trip to Virginia without a stellar hike? We headed to Buzzard Rock just a few miles from Sam and Amanda's. The first stop on the hike, a little weight lifting to get us ready.

Strike a pose!

Views from the first ledge.

An alternative route to the hiking path. Here give me a leg up.

Some candid shots of the hikers.

This rock looked comfy enough for a post lunch nap. Shhhh.

This rock looks a little more challenging. The brothers decided to give it a try.

Amanda catches the action on film.

Mik and Sam try a tough side climb on the top of the ridge.

Twas' the morning of thanksgiving and all through the house....

Not a creature was stirring, except for the in the kitchen.

Mik looks for some festive tunes.

The guys made the pies...apple and pumpkin. Yum.

Yep. You got him....he's not going anywhere but the oven.

Getting ready for the infamous Thanksgiving Croquet Tournament. Let the games begin.

Turkey turned out great. Nice and brown...and soon to be eaten.

Whipping up the rest of the feast.

Amanda's fabulous punch.

What a good looking group of Chefs.
